Attended Asia Pacific Cultural Center's 14th Annual celebration BULA! featuring the island of Fiji a few weekends ago. We (UW's Micronesian Islands Club) were set to perform in the afternoon, but had a lot of downtime to enjoy the festival as well. I will be doing a follow-up post with more pictures from that day but for now, this is just to show what I wore :)
two coats "Black with Envy", one coat silver crackle, topcoat
"Black with Envy" is Revlon's dupe for the ever-so-popular Chanel "Black Pearl."
A quick note on the LAsplash silver crackle: don't buy it. I can't speak for all the colors in their "crackle'd" range, but for this particular one, it dries to a matte white-gray finish. Although a topcoat does turn it back into a metallic silver, if the topcoat doesn't soak all the way into the layer, there are still areas that end up a whitish color. It only cost a few dollars, but still, disappointing.
I'm running low on my daily body lotion so I'll need to purchase a new one in the next week or 2.
I like ones that sink into the skin fairly quickly and keep my skin moisturized all day.
I'm not too picky about scents as long as it doesn't smell horrible lol.
Here are my top 2 choices for now, but I would appreciate other suggestions!
Ideally, I'd like it to be under $20 but if there's one that you just love, I'd be open to trying it out.

basecoat, 2 coats of OPI "What's with the Cattitude?", 1 coat of Sally Hansen "Ice Queen", topcoat
A friend had an Alice-in-Wonderland themed birthday so I decided to paint my nails with this creme finish light blue color since it reminded me of Alice's dress. Topped it off with Ice Queen for added sparkle :)
P.S. Excuse the tip-wear, I took these pictures a day after they were painted.
This is more of a lengthening rather than volumizing mascara. Lashes are noticeably longer and the mascara dries to a very black matte finish with one quick coat. On my lashes, 2 or more coats of this gets fairly clumpy, rather than volumizing nicely. It took a bit of time with a spooly or lash comb just to make my lashes look ok. For this reason, I usually stuck with one coat for everyday use since it was too much work to de-clump 2+ coats. Also, I noticed that bits of this mascara had a tendency to flake off by the end of the day.
Will I repurchase? No. I didn't like the flaking. Plus, it just takes too much time to make it work with my lashes.

This year I turned twenty-four on January the 18th, but decided to celebrate on Saturday night instead of on a Wednesday so that more of my friends would be able to join me. Here is what I wore during a little apartment get-together and bar hopping on the Ave in U-district <3
